Blessing of the new Learning Space
What a beautiful day for the blessing of our newly revamped learning space! Bishop Steve, Bishop Emeritus, Fr Seejo, members of the Chanel Centre, ex teachers and principals all came along to help us to celebrate this special event. After a special liturgy Bishop Steve foloowed us around the different spaces within our new "classroom" and blessed it with holy water. Then we sang a song asking God to bless the teachers, helpers and students.

St Joseph’s Day - 19 March 2015
Yesterday it was St Joseph’s Day.
We started the day with Mass and then we sorted ourselves into houses to make our special shared lunch.
When all the cooking was done and we were ready to eat, we all dressed up like
Joseph or Mary or like people did in those days. Bishop Denis came to have
lunch with us. We sang our St Joseph’s school prayer and the Bishop said grace.
Then we sat down at a long table to eat our lunch. It was amazing. The soup was
so yummy. "I liked to dip my bread in the soup" said Chad. "I even had two pieces of cake!" - Joshua
Happy Feast Day St Joseph!!

Flying Fox
When we came back
to school after the holidays we had something new in the playground... A
flying fox. It comes from the Pirate ship and goes across to the fairy
tree. We all love going on it. Sometimes we sit on it, sometimes we
stand on it. It's great fun! Even the teachers have had a go!
